A 54-year-old is facing weapons charges after reports of a man threatening another with a firearm on the weekend.
The call came in to police around 3:30 Saturday morning in the area of New Cove Road.
RNC say the home in question was contained and the RNC Tactics and Rescue Unit was called to assist.
The accused left the multi-unit property without incident and was taken into custody.
The RNC’s Criminal Investigation Division seized a BB gun that resembled a hand gun from the property, as well as pellets and CO2 cartridges.
Robert Spurrell is charged with a variety of weapons offences, including pointing a firearm, uttering threats and assault with a weapon.
