The volunteer fire departments in St. Anthony and Port aux Choix are getting some new equipment.
The provincial government has set aside $616,000 for a new pumper truck for St. Anthony, and $10,000 for new equipment for the department in Port aux Choix.
Government says the money will help improve emergency response capacity and ensure residents in those communities have reliable fire protection services.
