Some 2,000 customers in St. Mary’s Bay and the Cape Shore are still without power after strong winds caused damage to power lines last night.
Crews are on the scene and expect service to be restored by early this afternoon.
Newfoundland Power’s Glenda Power says a single segment of one utility line was affected.
Power is advising customers not to open their fridges or deep freezes to prevent food from getting spoiled.
