The Registered Nurses Union has met with government and Deloitte on a long-awaited core staffing review – an update on which will be provided to union membership this week in Corner Brook.
The review was finally launched last year – seven years after it was initially negotiated by the RNU in 2019.
The union is meeting for its biennial convention in Corner Brook this week.
Union President Yvette Coffey says the review has been completed and while she hasn’t had an opportunity to fully examine its findings, more meetings are planned for further discussion.
“There are further discussions planned with government” says Coffey who met with Minister Joedy Wall in Winnipeg last week. “We will be updating our membership on that, and the provincial travel team that was announced in the budget this year…and the work that’s ongoing on that as well.”
