The price of diesel, the fuel that drives the economy, shot up overnight. It went up by nearly seven cents a litre on the island and in Labrador West, while gas increased only by two cents.
Furnace oil took a bump, up by nearly six cents a litre on the island and in Labrador West.
The next scheduled pricing change comes at midnight Tuesday.
