A one-man crime spree which included the ramming of a police car and an all-out search in metro involving drones and officers on foot has resulted in the arrest of a 35-year-old.
The incident began unfolding at about 10:30 last night when RNC pulled over a vehicle on Ashgrove Drive. An officer was speaking with the driver, who had given police a false name. With no warning, the driver shifted the vehicle in reverse, slamming into the police car and nearly hitting some officers.
RNC were then called out to a car fire in the area of Danny Drive and determined that it was the car in question.
After a search, the suspect was found hiding in the area.
He now faces numerous charges.
