RCMP are investigating after a pellet gun and pocket knife were seized from a student at Copper Ridge Academy in Baie Verte.
Police were contacted by the school Tuesday afternoon.
The school did not report any concerns regarding the safety of the school community at that time, and no threats or incidents of violence were reported to police.
Officers were advised that the student was removed from the school and sent home to the care of an adult.
