Alex Newhook opened the scoring and then added another as Montreal defeated Buffalo 5-1 last night to knot their playoff series.
The St. John’s native had four shots on goal and was on the ice for over 16 minutes.
The Habs opened a 3-0 lead before the Sabres got on the board.
Game three goes tomorrow night in Montreal.
