Metrobus is reducing weekday service on some routes, many of which were just expanded, due to staffing shortages.
Additional service was added to routes 9, 11, 18, and 23 last month to help achieve a 30-minute minimum service along the network.
However, the company says it is experiencing recruitment challenges, particularly for mechanics and transit operators, meaning it is difficult to maintain the number of buses required for current service levels.
As such, beginning on October 26th routes 9, 11, and 23 will be reduced to 60-minute frequency on weekdays. Routes 14 and 18 will only offer 30-minute frequency on weekdays during peak hours.
Service on weekends will not be impacted.
Metrobus says it is actively working to address the situation.
