The Department of Fisheries and Oceans is getting in on the craze surrounding the Netflix series Below.
DFO recently posted a warning to mariners about a mysterious creature spotted in the water surrounding Twillingate.
The tongue-in-cheek post indicates that researchers are trying to determine whether the creature is a giant squid, an iceberg, fog or “simply the result of watching too much” of Below.
DFO says while icebergs and giant squid are both real, the presence of sea monsters remains unconfirmed.
