One of the greatest curlers to ever represent the province, and the country, is kicking off a book tour today.
Brad Gushue is promoting his memoir, ‘Gushue: The Making of a Champion,’ which officially launches today.
The book details his 25-plus year curling career, highlighting major milestones like his Olympic gold medal, World Junior Championships, and World Championships.
Gushue says he started writing the book at the beginning of his final season, noting that looking back on his career brought up some fond memories of his early playing days.
“When we were talking about writing the book, I thought it would be a good journey to go back and look at some of the great things we’d done over the course of my career, and some of the mistakes and hardships we had along the way,”
“I’d go back to my teammates and say we were talking about this event or that moment. And then we would build on that. And there was things that I didn’t even remember that happened.”
Gushue will be signing the book tonight at 7:00 at the Gander Curling Club and tomorrow at the same time at the Cole’s at Corner Brook Plaza.
He will be in St. John’s in November for his book signing.
