It’s a rough day on the roads on parts of the Avalon Peninsula after close to 15 cm of the white stuff fell last night and overnight.
The snow is wet and heavy, and difficult to move. If it comes down off the roof of a vehicle and onto the windshield, it will be difficult for the wipers to continue functioning.
The snow will change to light rain by about lunchtime. Winds are not a significant factor but there is some drifting, and driving is fair to poor.
Municipalities are reminding people that on-road parking restrictions remain in force even after the snowfall.
