Two young people have been stripped of their driving privileges after they were caught going over twice the posted speed limit on the province’s west coast.
A 17-year-old driver was hauled over by RCMP on the ramp in Stephenville around 9:00 Wednesday night after he was clocked at 92 km/h in a 40 km/h zone.
A couple hours later, an officer on patrol near Noel’s Pond stopped a 22-year-old man driving 104 km/h in an area where the speed limit is 50.
Both drivers had their licences suspended and vehicles impounded.
