One person is dead after a vehicle crashed into a power pole along the Cape Shore Highway last night.
Emergency responders were called to the scene, between Little Barasway and Great Barasway, around 9:30 p.m.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash sparked a fire that was quickly extinguished before it could spread.
A section of the highway was closed overnight as a result.
A collision reconstructionist was called to the scene, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has been called in.
