A 38-year-old man has been charged with weapons-related offences following his arrest in St. John’s over the weekend.
RNC were contacted on May 27th about a man in possession of firearms.
An investigation was launched, and Adam Young was arrested on Saturday on New Cove Road with the help of the Tactics and Rescue Unit.
The Weapons and Drug Enforcement Unit subsequently searched a home on Watson Street and seized a loaded firearm and ammunition.
Young has been charged with careless use of a firearm, possession of a firearm for a dangerous purpose and failing to comply with a release order.
It’s not the first time Young has been charged with weapons-related offences. He was arrested in connection with the seizure of firearms from a home on Livingstone Street back in 2023.
