RNC say twelve people vacated a home on Spencer Street that was the focus of a major police operation over the lunch hour.
RNC and the RCMP Tactical Team descended on the centre city neighbourhood earlier today and cordoned off the street.
Area residents identified the house in question as a local “trap house.”
Police have searched the home and charges are pending.
RNC advise that there will continue to be an increased police presence in the area throughout the day, but that there is no risk to public safety.

The road is cordoned off with police tape and the RCMP’s Tactical Response Team is on site.
Both the RNC and RCMP are on the scene, and it appears as though a battering ram has been used to pull the front door off a house on the street.
Area residents are identifying the residence in question as a “trap house.”
Drones are also being used in the operation, and officers have their weapons drawn.
